40,000 Tune in to Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' in Raipur, Claims Record

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 138th episode of the monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' was attended by nearly 40,000 people in Raipur on Sunday. This mass listening event took place at the Mandi Ground in the Raipur North assembly constituency, marking the ninth anniversary of the show.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Tarun Chugh announced that this achievement had been recognised as a world record by the Chhattisgarh chapter of the Golden Book of World Records. He stated, "Mann Ki Baat is not merely a radio programme, but has become a medium of communication between the Prime Minister and the people across the country."

Chugh attributed the record attendance to the mobilisation of BJP workers along with members of the public, highlighting the diverse age groups represented at the event. He noted that the large turnout illustrated the programme's expansive reach.

Among the attendees were notable political figures, including Chhattisgarh cabinet minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, Rajya Sabha member Lakshmi Verma, and several local Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) such as Rajesh Munat, Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, and Sunil Soni.

'Mann Ki Baat', which started in 2014, has consistently attracted significant public interest, with episodes focusing on various national issues, community stories, and direct interactions with citizens. The programme is broadcast via radio, television, and online platforms, aiming to foster a dialogue between the government and the populace.
