Under the auspices of India's G20 Presidency, the Startup20 Engagement Group plans to hold a major summit in Gurugram to celebrate its successful first year. The much-awaited 'Startup20 Shikhar' event will take place on July 3 and 4, 2023, signifying the completion of efforts in forming the future of the international startup ecosystem.

The summit, appropriately called "Shikhar," which means "mountain peak" in Sanskrit, stands for the pinnacle of accomplishments in advancing the global startup scene.

It will be a historic event that will see the formal publishing of the Startup20 Engagement Group's full Policy Communiqué, a comprehensive document that represents the collective wisdom and tireless efforts of the Startup20 Engagement Group, comprising distinguished delegates from G20 nations and other invitee countries. The Policy Communiqué will lay the foundation for a transformative and inclusive startup ecosystem, fostering economic growth, innovation, and cross-border collaboration.

The two-day summit is expected to be instructive and engaging, with a diverse schedule including stimulating panel discussions, thought-provoking lectures, and invaluable networking opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to network with thought leaders, politicians, and industry professionals, forming strategic partnerships and influencing the development of startups on a worldwide scale.

As part of the summit, a large Startup Conclave will be held, providing startups with a platform to showcase their products and services, and engage in investor pitches, mentoring sessions, and other networking opportunities. In line with other Startup20 events, the summit will also incorporate a blend of art and culture, further enhancing the experience.

The conference exemplifies the enormous potential of entrepreneurs to spur economic growth and positive social change. The event seeks to maximize the potential of startups by fostering an atmosphere that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, hence accelerating economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development.

Chair of Startup20 Chintan Vaishnav expressed his enthusiasm by saying, "I think of this final leg of this year's Startup20 journey as a new beginning. We extend a warm invitation to delegates to join us in Gurugram and collectively celebrate the culmination of months of collaboration, consultation, and unwavering determination. We have built consensus over a first-ever powerful communiqué that we will harness the power of startups, paving the way for their vibrant and sustainable future."
