Both sides reviewed their bilateral relations and cooperation in diverse domains
Reviewing their ongoing bilateral cooperation across different domains during the Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in Ottawa on Tuesday (April 11, 2033), India and Canada agreed to enhance momentum in commercial ties.

They also decided to strengthen cooperation in science & technology, energy, education, consular issues, counter-terrorism, and streamline mobility, according to information released by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday.

The Indian delegation was led by MEA's Secretary (East) Saurabh Kumar; the Canadian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Global Affairs David Morrison.

During the FOC, both sides welcomed regular dialogue and meetings of bilateral mechanisms, which will be further strengthened by upcoming Ministerial visits, to broaden the bilateral agenda. The two sides also engaged in discussions on contemporary regional issues, including the Indo-Pacific region, and cooperation in multilateral organizations.

In the context of India's ongoing G20 Presidency, Canada expressed its support for India's leadership and both sides pledged to work together to ensure the success of the G20.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the discussions were productive and substantial. The next FOC will be held in India on a mutually convenient date.
