The event in Aizawl will be the second of four B20 events scheduled in Northeast India
The city of Aizawl in Northeast India is set to host the second Business 20 (B20) event from March 1-3. The first B20 meeting was held in Imphal, Manipur, also in Northeast India, from February 17-19.

B20 is the official G20 dialogue forum for the global business community and is one of the most noticeable Engagement Groups of the G20.

The B20 event in Aizawl, Mizoram will see around 500 participants, ranging from Ministers, senior government officials, diplomats, and representatives from the business community, the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Tuesday.

During the three-day event, delegates will have the opportunity to explore the potential for multilateral business partnerships in areas such as urban planning, infrastructure, bamboo, startups, skill development, nursing, and paramedics.

The event will begin with a cultural evening and a welcome dinner at Raj Bhavan on the day of the arrival of delegates. The second day will see a B20 conference at Mizoram State University, followed by a cultural program. On the third and final day of the event, the Chapchar Kut spring festival of Mizoram will be showcased to the delegates at AR Ground.

The state government has made extensive preparations for the event, which is the second of four B20 events scheduled in the Northeast. The next B20 event will be held in Sikkim's capital Gangtok from March 15 to 17, while the fourth conference will be in Kohima in Nagaland from April 4 to 6.

The events are intended to highlight the untapped potential and opportunities of the Northeast States.

B20 aims to mobilize the views of global business leaders on global economic and trade governance and provide tangible policy suggestions to each rotating presidency in order to boost economic growth and development.

The B20 Summit will send its final recommendations to the G20 Presidency. With the aim of boosting economic growth and development, the recommendations will be made based on the views of global business leaders who will have explored opportunities for multilateral business partnerships in the region during the B20 event in Aizawl.
