The Financial Commissioner Revenue stressed upon the need to educate people about the benefits of this technology
Jammu and Kashmir is the first state/Union Territory in India where survey of land will be done through the Continuously Operating Reference System (CORS) which ensures accuracy and real-time . This will bring about a complete error free digitalization of Jamabandies, and reducing chances of disputes

He said there will be 20 such installations in the whole UT. “The readings and information relating to the survey of land will be accurate up to 5 cm radius,” the report quoted him saying.
The system will calculate radius of any Khata itself, this new technology supported system will enhance capacity and capability to the extent that in just one hour you will be able to do survey of up to 5 Khatas, he said
The Financial Commissioner Revenue stressed upon the need to educate people about this technology telling them its benefits like reduction in chances of disputes and confusions. The report highlighted him saying that every district has to establish one CORS system in a mission mode. Kotwal also directed the concerned authorities to pace up the process of completing left out Jamabandies on war footing.
