On eve of Int Women’s Day, army holds interactive session in Sopore
The event included lecture on self defence and various government schemes available for girl child
On the occasion of International Women's Day on Saturday, an interactive session was organized at Sanctorium school, Lalad by Amargad Army Camp, an army spokesman said.
The Army spokesman said that the event included an informative talk on personal hygiene, various career options, lecture on self defense and various government schemes available for girl child.
“The event also included motivational talk by a reputed Advocate Arifa Majeed, practitioner lawyer, Baramulla and Ishrat, international wheelchair basketball player. The event was attended by a total of 200 girl students and 40 eminent women personalities of the area. The spirit and enthusiasm amongst the audience was commendable,” spokesman said.
The event culminated by felicitation of 45 women for their active contribution in nation building and excelling in various fields, spokesman said.
