As many as 30 Cooperative Societies from Kashmir and Jammu Divisions participated in the Expo who registered sale of Rs 1.25 Crores during the expo

15 day-long Special Handloom Expo 2020 concluded today at Kashmir Haat Exhibition Ground.

The event was organised by Handloom Development Department J&K and sponsored by Development Commissioner for Handloom Ministry of Textiles Government of India, through Implementing Agency Badam Raffal & Pashmina weavers Cooperative Society Hawal Srinagar.

As many as 30 Cooperative Societies from Kashmir and Jammu Divisions participated in the Expo who registered sale of Rs 1.25cores during the expo.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Director Handlooms, Dr.Nargis Suraya urged weavers to produce GI certified Pashmina products to preserve the Heritage art of the State from machine made Pashmina.

Assistant Director Handloom Srinagar, Tahir Ahmad Hakim, AD Weavers Service Centre and other concerned were present on the occasion.
