The yearly Agri UniFest is promoted by ICAR as a platform to showcase cultural talent among the youth of agricultural universities from across the country

Students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology, Kashmir (SKUAST-K) bagged two silver medals and a bronze medal at the 20th All-India Inter-Agriculture Universities Youth Festival (Agri UniFest) 2020 held at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Raipur in Chhattisgarh recently.

A contingent of SKUAST-K led by Assistant Student Welfare Officer, Dr Seemi Lohani and Team Manager Dr Gowhar Ali took part in a number of all-India level cultural events and competitions in which 2500 students from 62 state agricultural universities from across the country participated.

A group of students comprising of Azhar Iqbal, Humayun Bashir, Murtaza, and Aqib Gul from Faculty of Horticulture, Suraya Tasveer, Muskan-un-Nisa and Iqra Farooq of Faculty of Forestry won the second position in group song and were awarded the silver medal.

Sania Ajaz Khan of the Faculty of Agriculture won the second position in mono acting and Bazir Ajaz of College of Temperate Sericulture won the fourth position and were awarded silver and bronze medals respectively.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Nazeer Ahmed congratulated the SKUAST-K team for the outstanding performance at the national festival.
