Prepaid mobile and Internet service of all cellular companies remained suspended as a precautionary measure in the Kashmir valley

Additional Central Paramilitary Force (CPMF) rushed from different parts of the country about a week before the scrapping of special status of the state, have now left the Kashmir valley. The Centre last night has announced withdrawal of more CPMF from the valley.

However, large number of security forces and police personnel remained deployed at sensitive places, including civil lines, to maintain law and order.

The pre-paid mobile and Internet service, including Broadband, remained suspended, badly hitting student, media persons besides doctors and other professionals in the Kashmi valley.

Three former Chief Ministers—Dr Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti—ex-legislators and ex-ministers were among the leaders under detention since August 5.

Life has returned to normal with all shops and business establishments functioning and traffic is plying normally on all routes in the valley, where spontaneous strike crippled life for over three months.
