Welcome To The Jungle Aims to Surpass Raees at the Box Office
The film Welcome To The Jungle, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Disha Patani, has shown modest growth in its fourth weekend at the box office. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film is already considered a commercial success and is now competing to surpass the earnings of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees.
On its twenty-third day of release, Welcome To The Jungle amassed an estimated ₹38 lakh, a slight increase from the ₹20 lakh it collected on its fifth Friday. However, competition from Dhamaal 4, which currently occupies a larger portion of the screen count, has affected footfall for Welcome To The Jungle.
As of now, the film’s total earnings at the Indian box office stand at ₹136.28 crore net. Produced on a budget of ₹125 crore, it has made a profit margin of approximately 9% over the span of 23 days, earning a positive verdict from audiences. The gross collection, including taxes, amounts to ₹160.81 crore.
In comparison, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, which was a box office success in 2017, earned a lifetime total of ₹137.51 crore net, co-starring Mahira Khan. For Welcome To The Jungle to surpass Raees, it requires an additional ₹1.23 crore. Achieving this milestone would place it as the 88th highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
As the film continues its run, industry observers are keen to see if it can reach this target soon. Further box office updates can be found on various entertainment platforms, like Koimoi.
