Tanvi Thakkar and Aditya Kapadia Announce Divorce After Five Years
Indian television actor Tanvi Thakkar has officially announced her separation from fellow actor Aditya Kapadia after five years of marriage. The announcement was made via a heartfelt message on social media, where she expressed the deep reflection leading to their decision.
In her statement, Tanvi Thakkar noted that the choice to part ways was taken after considerable thought and mutual respect between the couple. She addressed the public’s curiosity surrounding their relationship, revealing that they had spent months contemplating their future together.
"Over the last few months, many people have reached out with concern and questions about my personal life. After a great deal of thought and consideration, Aditya and I have decided to move forward separately," Tanvi shared.
Calling this choice one of the most challenging she has faced, she emphasised that it was made with kindness. She insisted that the separation was not rooted in conflict, stating, "There is no negativity or drama here — only the hope for peace and healing for everyone involved."
Tanvi appealed for privacy, asking that the media, friends, and fans respect their need for space as they navigate this personal chapter. She concluded her announcement by requesting understanding from the public and announcing she would refrain from addressing any inquiries about the situation.
The couple's relationship began on the set of the television series Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum, where they first met. After getting engaged in 2013, they married on February 16, 2021, in an intimate court ceremony, followed by a small celebration with family and friends.
Earlier this year, Tanvi marked her son's third birthday, highlighting the couple's history together while they co-parented. On the professional front, Tanvi Thakkar has established a strong presence in Indian television, known for her roles in notable shows such as Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Aditya Kapadia, who began his career as a child actor, has appeared in popular series including Just Mohabbat and Shaka Laka Boom Boom, as well as numerous Hindi and Gujarati films.
