The foundation of this partnership dates back to 1948, with the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, which established formal diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Over the years, India-Switzerland relations have evolved significantly, expanding into various sectors such as education, infrastructure, and technology. Recent discussions held during the State visit of Swiss President Guy Parmelin to New Delhi culminated in the signing of vital agreements focusing on migration and mobility, young professionals, and transport infrastructure.
