UDAIPUR: A glamorous wedding is underway in Udaipur, Rajasthan, attracting an array of celebrities from across the globe. Notable attendees include Donald Trump Jr, singer Jennifer Lopez, and actor Justin Bieber, all gathered to celebrate the marriage of Netra Mantena, daughter of the prominent businessman Rama Raju Mantena, and Vamsi Gadiraju, co-founder of the technology firm Superorder.

The high-profile event has captured significant attention, particularly due to the arrival of Donald Trump Jr on Friday, accompanied by his girlfriend. The couple is staying at the luxurious Leela Palace hotel, where festivities have been taking place. Vamsi Gadiraju, who graduated from Columbia University, has Telugu heritage and has made a name for himself in the tech industry. His company, Superorder, aims to innovate the food delivery sector. Meanwhile, Netra Mantena holds a degree in pharmacology and currently works in New York.

On Saturday, Trump Jr and Rama Raju, commonly referred to as Raj, visited the Udaipur City Palace, where they engaged in discussions about the region's rich history with Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a member of the former Mewar royal family. During the meeting, Singh presented symbolic gifts to Trump Jr, who later expressed his admiration for historical figures from the region, including Maharana Kumbha and Maharana Pratap, calling the experience “special and memorable.”

In preparation for the wedding, Udaipur has ramped up security measures, involving collaboration between local law enforcement and the US Secret Service. Surveillance drones are monitoring the area, and access points around the lakes and hotels are under strict scrutiny to ensure the safety of the guests.

The wedding festivities commenced late Friday with vibrant performances by Bollywood stars, including Kriti Sanon, Madhuri Dixit, and Shahid Kapoor. The celebrations continued on Saturday, featuring live shows by Jennifer Lopez, who arrived on a charter flight from Ireland, and Justin Bieber. A grand reception is anticipated to follow the wedding on November 24.

Rama Raju Mantena, originally from Vijayawada, India, moved to the United States in 1984, where he founded multiple companies. His latest venture, Integra Connect, is recognised for its advancements in precision medicine, particularly in the field of real-world data and analytics for healthcare organisations.

Having built a successful career in the pharmacy and IT sectors, Rama Raju has established connections with various global entrepreneurs and celebrities. His friendship with Donald Trump Jr's family dates back to their time as neighbours in Florida. A close friend remarked, “Raj has a long-standing friendship with Trump's family. He really wants to bring qualitative change in the lives of cancer patients and has big plans to invest in India's pharma sector.”
