Smriti Mandhana's Wedding Postponed Amid Family Health Concerns
In a recent statement, singer Palak Muchhal addressed the postponement of her brother Palash Muchhal's wedding to Indian women's cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana. The wedding, which was originally scheduled for November 23, has been delayed following health complications involving both families.
The decision to postpone the ceremony came after Smriti Mandhana's father, Shriniwas Mandhana, fell ill on the day of the wedding and required hospitalisation in Sangli, Mandhana’s hometown. Subsequent to this incident, Palash Muchhal was also admitted to a hospital, where he received treatment before being moved to Mumbai.
In an interview with Filmfare, Palak Muchhal expressed her thoughts on the situation, stating, "I think the families have been through a very tough time. We would like to believe in positivity at this time and spread positivity as much as we can. We are also trying to stay strong."
Both Shriniwas Mandhana and Palash Muchhal have since been discharged from hospital care and are reportedly recovering well. However, as of now, neither family has announced a new date for the wedding.
The couple had already engaged in pre-wedding festivities, which included vibrant celebrations with family and friends. Following the postponement, Smriti Mandhana removed all wedding-related posts from her social media accounts, while some images remain on Palash Muchhal's platforms.
The news of the postponement has attracted significant attention, reflecting the public interest in both figures due to their prominence in their respective fields. As both families navigate this challenging time, they remain hopeful for a positive outcome in the future.
