Skeleton of Missing Gujarat Man Found Under Kitchen Floor
AHMEDABAD: Authorities in Gujarat have discovered a skeleton beneath the kitchen floor of a deserted house in the Fatewadi area of Ahmedabad, revealing an 18-month-old mystery. The remains have been identified as those of Sameer Bihari, a man reported missing since last year. Investigations have led to the arrest of his wife, Ruby, and her lover, Imran, in connection with the murder.
Sameer Bihari was reported missing by his wife Ruby, who filed a complaint at the Sarkhej Police Station after he disappeared from their home. Despite extensive searches by the police, all leads proved fruitless until recent developments brought the case back into focus.
Local residents had noted Ruby's frequent interactions with Imran, raising suspicions about their relationship, particularly following Sameer's disappearance. These concerns were reported to the Ahmedabad Crime Branch, prompting a discreet investigation into the couple's activities.
Investigators monitored Ruby and Imran, discovering that they had been involved in a clandestine affair for nearly two years. Upon confronting the couple, they confessed to the murder of Sameer Bihari. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ajit Rajian of the Ahmedabad Crime Branch, “A woman named Ruby, residing in Ahmedabad’s Fatehwadi area, along with her lover Imran and two accomplices, brutally murdered her husband Sameer Bihari.”
DCP Rajian detailed the gruesome nature of the crime, stating, “The accused dug a pit in the kitchen and buried the body inside. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Imran, and during excavation at the Fatewadi house, we recovered the skeletal remains.”
Further interrogation revealed that following an argument between Ruby and Sameer, Imran, along with his accomplices, restrained Sameer and fatally injured him. They then dismembered the body and buried it under the kitchen floor, taking additional steps to conceal their actions by using salt and cement to mask the smell.
After the incident, Ruby relocated to a different house. The Crime Branch team, led by DCP Ajit Rajian, managed to unearth the skeleton during their investigation at Ruby's previous residence. The police have now detained all suspects involved and are pursuing further inquiries to identify additional accomplices and understand how the crime remained undetected for such an extended period.
