Shruti Haasan Celebrates Grihapravesh Ceremony in Chennai Home

Shruti Haasan, the renowned actor and musician, has recently transitioned into a new home in Chennai, closer to her roots. On Monday, she marked the occasion with a traditional grihapravesh ceremony, which is a ritual performed to bless a new dwelling.

The actress shared insights into the event on social media, showcasing images of herself seated on the floor during the puja, engaged in the spiritual activity. The photographs captured an array of sweets prepared for the celebration and the keys symbolising her new abode. Fans on Instagram and a prominent paparazzi page also shared visuals of the ceremony.

In one post, a fan account noted, “Shruti Haasan steps into a beautiful new chapter! The actor-musician celebrates her new Chennai home with a traditional griha pravesh puja, surrounded by love, blessings, and fresh beginnings.”

Previously, Shruti gave a glimpse of her Mumbai residence, which reflects her passion for music and distinctive gothic décor. This space comprises a music room, a sitting area, and a dining section, characterised by unpainted walls, high ceilings, and large windows that allow natural light to permeate. The living area is adorned with vibrant paintings and plants, creating a warm ambiance.

The décor also features personal trinkets, including a knife gifted by her father, Kamal Haasan, and collectibles from her travels. Instruments such as a guitar, adorned with a gas mask, and a piano are part of her music space, where she creates and entertains.

In her new residence, Shruti continues her artistic journey, having recently appeared in the 2025 film "Thug Life" by director Mani Ratnam. She is also involved in upcoming projects, including films titled "Aakasamlo Oka Tara" and "Train." Her work reflects a commitment to diverse film roles in the vibrant Tamil cinema industry.

Though her father could not attend the grihapravesh ceremony, the familial connection remains a significant aspect of her life as she embarks on this new chapter in her career and personal life.
