Sennheiser HDB 630 Wireless Headphones Launched in India
The Sennheiser HDB 630 headphones debut in India, priced at ₹44,990, offering audiophile sound quality and a 60-hour battery life.

Sennheiser, a prominent name in the audio industry, has officially launched its HDB 630 wireless headphones in India, following its global release earlier this year. With a retail price of ₹44,990, the headphones are designed for serious audiophiles who seek high-quality sound without the constraints of a wired connection.

The HDB 630 aims to deliver premium audio quality, boasting features typically associated with high-end wired headphones. As part of a promotional offer, customers who pre-book the headphones will receive a pair of Accentum Open earbuds valued at ₹12,990 at no additional cost.

Key Features and Technology

At the heart of the HDB 630's audio performance is the BTD 700 Hi-Res Bluetooth dongle, which connects via USB-C. This accessory allows for high-resolution playback of up to 24-bit and 96 kHz, ensuring that users can enjoy their music with exceptional clarity and detail, regardless of the device used. Sennheiser's engineering team has fine-tuned the headphones to provide a neutral sound profile, characterised by refined mids and expansive treble. This design approach aims to create a natural soundstage that accurately reflects the original recording.

The HDB 630 utilises a newly developed transducer design with optimised magnetic mesh and acoustic back volume, which enhances bass response while maintaining smooth mids and airy treble. This combination is intended to deliver a lifelike listening experience, even in a closed-back headphone design.

Saahil Kumar, General Manager of Sonova Consumer Hearing, commented on the launch, stating, "The HDB 630 redefines what wireless audiophile sound can be. It brings together Sennheiser’s acoustic craftsmanship, advanced tuning, and long-lasting comfort, allowing listeners to experience true sound fidelity wherever life takes them."

Emerging Trends in Wireless Audio

The introduction of the HDB 630 aligns with a growing trend in India, where audio brands are increasingly focusing on offering products that aspire to recreate the sound quality traditionally associated with wired headphones. Competing brands such as JBL have also released products aimed at this market segment, highlighting the demand for high-quality audio solutions that do not compromise on convenience.

While many wireless headphones excel in features like active noise cancellation and bass enhancement, they often fall short in delivering a rich, engaging sound experience. The Sennheiser HDB 630 aims to bridge this gap, appealing to discerning listeners who are willing to invest in superior sound quality.

Market Position and Availability

The HDB 630 is positioned within the premium segment of the headphone market, clearly targeting consumers who prioritise sound fidelity over casual listening. The headphones will be available for pre-booking from November 28 to December 4 on Sennheiser's official website, as well as through major online retailers such as Amazon India and select premium retail outlets.

As the demand for high-performance audio products continues to grow, the Sennheiser HDB 630 stands out as a compelling option for audiophiles seeking a wireless solution. With its combination of advanced technology and thoughtful design, it promises to deliver a sophisticated listening experience that meets the expectations of serious music enthusiasts.
