The Income Tax Department in Mumbai has conducted searches at 12 locations associated with the film industry, including properties linked to Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh and producer Vashu Bhagnani. Reports indicate that teams from the Mumbai Income Tax Department are scrutinising various documents and financial records during their searches. Investigators are particularly assessing alleged overseas transactions that may involve funds being routed abroad under the pretext of financing film projects.

While officials have yet to disclose specific details regarding the suspected irregularities, the investigation remains active. Rakul Preet Singh, known for her roles in various Hindi films, is also noted to be married to actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani, who is the son of Vashu Bhagnani, the founder of Pooja Entertainment.

Panorama Studios, another entity under scrutiny, is managed by producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, which has been associated with successful film franchises, including ‘Drishyam.’ Though some reports suggest that filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar is also linked to a related search operation, information about that aspect is limited at this time.
