Prominent Malayalis Honoured with Padma Awards 2026

The Union government of India has announced the recipients of the prestigious Padma Awards for the year 2026 on the eve of Republic Day. This honour is awarded annually to individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields, including the arts, social work, and public service.

Among the distinguished recipients this year are former Chief Minister of Kerala, V S Achuthanandan, celebrated actor Mammootty, and Vellappally Natesan, the general secretary of the Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham (SNDP Yogam).
