Pooja Bhatt Reflects on Emotional Past with Bobby Deol
Pooja Bhatt, the daughter of renowned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, recently shared insights into her past romantic involvement with Bobby Deol. In an interview with journalist Vickey Lalwani, she described their relationship as one of the most special periods of her life, referring to Deol as a "magical human being." Bhatt expressed fondness for the time they spent together, though she opted not to delve into the reasons behind their separation.
While reflecting on her past engagement, Bhatt noted that she prefers to focus on the dignity of their relationship rather than discuss its ending. She mentioned, "It was a magical time of my life, and he was a magical human being to be with." This statement showcases her warmth and respect for Deol, particularly as he has achieved a renewed phase in his career following a period of relative quiet.
When questioned about her decision to turn down the lead role in Mahesh Bhatt’s film, Aashiqui, Pooja shared that her priorities had shifted post her debut film, Daddy. She highlighted that her then-boyfriend had been unsupportive of her aspirations in the film industry but clarified that Bobby Deol was not that person, having come into her life later.
Upon being asked if they were in love during their relationship, Pooja responded affirmatively, saying, "Of course. What’s not to fall in love with?" However, she acknowledged that both she and Deol eventually grew apart, without providing further details on their breakup, emphasizing that revisiting such matters would not be in good taste.
Bhatt praised Deol's recent performance in the film Animal, expressing joy over his career resurgence. She remarked, "He made the film for me," highlighting her admiration for his work. Bobby Deol has been married to Tanya Deol since 1996, and they have two sons together. He has appeared in numerous successful films, including Gupt and Soldier. After a quieter phase, he returned to the limelight with roles in Race 3 and Animal. Pooja Bhatt, on the other hand, was previously married to Manish Makhija, a union that ended after 11 years. Her recent statements provide a glimpse into her relationship with Deol, marking a moment of nostalgia while avoiding revisiting difficult topics.
