PM Modi Urges Constructive Dialogue in Parliament's Winter Session
Prime Minister Modi calls for a focus on progress over political drama ahead of Parliament's Winter Session, urging the Opposition to engage constructively.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a productive Winter Session of Parliament, asserting that the focus should be on progress rather than political theatrics. Speaking to the media prior to the session, he emphasised that the Parliament's role is crucial in driving the nation towards development and should not merely serve as a platform for political posturing.

In his statements, PM Modi urged the Opposition to move past the recent electoral defeats, specifically referencing the Bihar elections, and to engage in constructive dialogue. He stated, "For some time now, our Parliament has been used either as a warm-up arena for elections or as an outlet for frustration after defeat. It is unfortunate that some parties cannot digest their defeat and are still troubled by the loss."

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the Winter Session, describing it as an essential contributor to India's forward momentum. He noted that the session should prioritise policy-making over slogans, saying, "There are many places available for doing drama. But here, we need delivery, not drama."

Furthermore, he addressed the need for a positive mindset in politics, cautioning against the unhealthy tradition of turning Parliament into a stage for state-level politics. "Negativity may have some utility in politics, but ultimately nation-building requires a positive mindset," he remarked.

PM Modi also stressed the significance of youth participation in Parliament, stating that first-time and younger Members of Parliament (MPs) should be given opportunities to voice their concerns and ideas. He expressed hope that the legislative session would focus on inclusivity and responsibility, ensuring that all lawmakers have a platform to contribute meaningfully.

In conclusion, Modi's address underscored the need for a collaborative approach in Parliament, urging all parties to set aside differences for the betterment of the nation. He reiterated, "For nation-building, a positive mindset is essential."

As India continues to strengthen its democracy and economy, the Prime Minister's message resonates with the expectation that the Winter Session will pave the way for significant legislative achievements.
