NSA Ajit Doval: India's Strength Infused with Tolerance Amid Military Actions
India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval emphasises the strength behind the country's tolerance in light of Operation Sindoor.

Ajit Doval, India’s National Security Advisor, recently remarked that the nation's generosity and tolerance should not be misinterpreted as signs of weakness. He underscored India's capability to take measured risks and maintain a firm stance against threats, regardless of potential repercussions. Doval was speaking in conjunction with the premiere of a new docuseries titled 'Declassified: Operation Sindoor', which is set to air on Discovery and its streaming platform, discovery+. In his first interview since the operation, he explained that the mission aimed primarily at dismantling terrorist camps responsible for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack. 'We had decided the objective of the operation as destruction of the enemy camps particularly those who had been responsible for the Pahalgam attack,' he stated. Doval further asserted, 'The message to the world is very clear - India’s generosity or India being tolerant should not be mistaken for its weakness. India can take risks, India can hit hard, irrespective of the consequences.' The docuseries features insights from India’s military and national security leadership, detailing the strategic choices and events that shaped Operation Sindoor. The operation was launched on May 7 last year, initiated as a response to the fatal attack that occurred on April 22 in Pahalgam, which led to targeted strikes on various terrorist infrastructures across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In the ensuing conflict, Pakistan retaliated, and both nations engaged in a substantial exchange of military actions over a period of nearly 88 hours, concluding with an agreement on May 10. The docuseries promises to provide an in-depth look at the decision-making processes that underpinned India's formidable military responses during this tense period.
