Nothing Reveals Launch Date for Phone 4a Series on March 5
On February 17, 2026, the London-based technology firm Nothing confirmed that it will unveil its Phone 4a series on March 5. This series is anticipated to include two models: the Nothing Phone 4a and the Nothing Phone 4a Pro. The new offerings are expected to follow in the footsteps of the previously released Phone 3a and 3a Pro, aiming to cater to mid and premium market segments in India.
Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, stated that the 'a' series has consistently been the best-selling range for the brand. Additionally, he confirmed that the Phone 3 will serve as Nothing's flagship device for 2026, suggesting that there may not be a Phone 4 model forthcoming.
"We’re really excited about taking this even closer to what a flagship experience is going to be across the board from materials, design to screen, camera," Pei commented, hinting at significant upgrades in the forthcoming devices.
The announcement is strategically scheduled just one day after a major event from Apple on March 4. Pei drew attention to this timing by digitally superimposing the words 'Nothing' and '5 March' on an invitation post for Apple's event, circulating it on social media platform X, previously known as Twitter.
Co-founder Akis Evangelidis provided assurance that both the Nothing 4a and 4a Pro are confirmed for launch soon in India, highlighting that the series will aim to enhance performance.
“The 4a series will further push the bar, especially the 4a Pro,” Evangelidis told India Today Tech. "For people who are looking in terms of performance – a very strong device – the 4a Pro will be a great alternative this year.” This statement reinforces the company's commitment to providing high-quality devices that are accessible to their growing customer base.
The Nothing 4a series will succeed the previous year’s 3a series, which also featured two models. Expectations are high, with speculation suggesting that the new lineup might come with USB 3.1 storage and larger batteries compared to the outgoing models. The Phone 4a Pro is rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, indicating a focus on improved specifications.
Despite the absence of a traditional flagship model this year, Nothing appears to be thriving, having opened a new offline store in India on February 14. This outlet marks the brand's second store outside its original location in Soho, London. According to research firm IDC, Nothing is also reported to be India's fastest-growing smartphone brand, with an impressive year-on-year growth rate of 45% in 2025.
The upcoming Phone 4a series is viewed as a crucial launch for the company, as it seeks to establish its presence in a highly competitive market while refining its flagship strategy for the future.
