Noida Woman Allegedly Caught Shoplifting at DLF Mall of India
A woman was reportedly caught shoplifting items from a premium grocery store located in DLF Mall of India, Noida. Videos of the incident have circulated widely on social media platforms. These clips depict mall staff escorting the woman out of the Le Marche store after she was allegedly apprehended for stealing.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that while the woman was shopping, employees noticed her suspicious actions. Subsequently, she was confronted and escorted from the premises by female security personnel. A male bystander, who filmed the event, commented on the situation: "Yeh dekho, kaise aate hain paisewaale log aur chori karte hain, 1000, 500 ki cheezein (Look at this, see how these rich people come here and steal things worth Rs 1,000 or Rs 500)."
The individual filming expressed curiosity about another accomplice, asking, "Doosra bhai kahaan hain (Where is the other guy?)." As the woman and the man were led out of the store, the bystander continued with remarks suggesting that previous incidents may have occurred, stating, "Ye pehle bhi churake bhaage the (Did she steal from here before?)."
In further comments, a store employee, who was seen holding various items like a bottle of oil and a jar of ghee, claimed that the woman had been a repeat offender. The employee noted, “Aur bhi bohat kuch hai, 4000 ka ghee hai (There are many things she stole like ghee worth Rs 4,000).” It was also asserted that she had stolen from Le Marche on four separate occasions prior to this incident. When queried about how the woman was caught, the employee explained, “Camera mein dekha (We saw the CCTV footage).”
Reports suggest that the woman had been frequenting the store since August 15. As she was escorted away, she reportedly attempted to conceal her face with her phone while engaged in a phone conversation.
The precise circumstances that led to her being confronted have not been independently verified. Furthermore, it remains unclear what subsequent actions were taken after her removal from the store or whether any formal police complaint was made regarding the incident.
