Nizamabad Man Injured, Fellow Resident Reported Dead in Ukraine Attack
A missile strike near the Russia-Ukraine border has resulted in injuries and fatalities among residents from Nizamabad district, India.

A missile strike near the Russia-Ukraine border has reportedly resulted in the death of a man from Nizamabad district, India, along with injuries to another individual. The injured individual, Sirisu Ashok from Pedda Walgoat village, conveyed details of the incident via a voice message to his family.

In his message, Sirisu Ashok stated that he and three others from Nizamabad had been stranded after joining the Russian Army. The deceased has been identified as Afzal Khan from Tadkol village, with his death still awaiting confirmation from family or authorities. Two other men, Meghawath Prakash and Bhukya Ravinder, are also reported to be unaccounted for.

Ashok described his own condition as critical, expressing concerns about his injuries and the dire circumstances faced by the group. He indicated that they had reportedly raised a sum of 400,000 Indian Rupees in an attempt to arrange for their return home.

The situation has prompted Ashok's family to reach out to local political representatives, urging Nizamabad Rural Member of the Legislative Assembly to intervene. They have also contacted Nizamabad Member of Parliament Arvind Dharmapuri for assistance in their efforts to ensure their safe return.

An official response from the Indian Embassy in Riyadh confirmed that they are in communication with the family and are committed to facilitating the repatriation of the deceased’s remains. In a broader context, it has been reported that at least ten other Indian nationals sustained injuries during the missile attack.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India condemned the attack, which has been linked to a series of strikes causing injuries and property damage in the region. In a statement, the Ministry expressed strong disapproval of the repeated strikes affecting civilians. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy continues to liaise with local authorities to aid in the situation.

Following these developments, the Indian community and families affected are seeking immediate intervention by the Indian government to ensure the safety of all citizens involved. More information regarding their situation remains awaited, as the affected families await confirmation and necessary arrangements from the authorities.
