Major Film Festival Announces 2024 Line-Up Ahead of Gala Opening
Leading international film festival unveils its 2024 programme, featuring acclaimed directors and emerging talent from around the globe.

The prestigious Sundance Film Festival has confirmed its line-up for the upcoming 2024 event, set to take place in Park City, Utah, from January 18 to January 28. This year’s festival promises to showcase a diverse array of films that reflect contemporary global narratives.

Organisers have highlighted that the festival will include over 120 feature films and a curated selection of short films. Among the established filmmakers, notable directors such as Greta Gerwig and Bong Joon-ho are set to present their latest works. Gerwig's upcoming project, which has been highly anticipated, is expected to draw significant attention.

In addition to established names, the festival will also spotlight emerging voices in cinema. A number of films from first-time directors will be featured, offering audiences a chance to experience fresh perspectives and innovative storytelling.

Festival director Tabitha Jackson stated, "This year's selection showcases an extraordinary breadth of talent and storytelling. We are excited to present films that push boundaries, provoke thought, and entertain audiences around the world."

The annual festival is renowned for its role in launching independent films into the mainstream. Previous editions have seen Oscar-winning films such as 'Get Out' and 'Whiplash' make their debut, propelling their creators into the spotlight.

Tickets for the festival will be available for sale to the public starting December 1. As the festival approaches, anticipation is building among filmmakers and film lovers alike, with many eagerly awaiting the narrative explorations that will feature in this year’s programme.

The Sundance Film Festival continues to be a significant platform for both seasoned filmmakers and newcomers to showcase their work, reinforcing its position as a cornerstone of the international film industry.
