Launch of Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power: Features and Pricing Details

Xiaomi has unveiled two new smartphones, the Poco X8 and the Poco X8 Power, targeting the mid-range market. These devices are distinguished by their powerful processors and impressive battery capacities.

Poco X8 Power Features The Poco X8 Power boasts a remarkable 10,000 mAh battery, offering extended performance with claims of up to 29 hours of video playback. Capable of charging other devices at 27 watts, it can also serve as a power bank. Furthermore, it supports 100-watt fast charging.

The smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, providing robust performance for various applications. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED display refreshes at 120 Hz, with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, creating an optimal viewing experience. The device includes a 50-megapixel main camera, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

In terms of durability, the Poco X8 Power features an IP69K rating, indicating it is resistant to both dust and water, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Pricing and Availability The Poco X8 is priced at ₹29,999 (approximately $364). The Poco X8 Power is available in India in two variants: one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for ₹32,999 ($349), and another with 256 GB of storage for ₹35,999 ($381). The phones are expected to receive at least four major Android updates and security patches for up to six years.

While the initial launch will take place in India, details regarding an international release remain undetermined. The introduction of these models comes in quick succession to the earlier Poco X8 that was launched with an 8,340 mAh battery, reflecting Xiaomi's focus on battery technology in its latest offerings.
