Key Stocks to Monitor on August 18: Paytm, Wipro and Others
On 18 August, several companies in India's stock market are set to attract investor attention due to various developments impacting their operations.
One97 Communications Ltd, the parent company of the digital payments platform Paytm, is anticipated to divest up to 4.98% of its equity. This sale will be conducted via a block deal, with the initial offer sized at 3% and an option to increase by a further 1.98%.
In another notable move, Shriram Pistons has initiated a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) aiming to raise ₹1,000 crore. The indicative price range for the shares is between ₹4,216.30 and ₹4,436.60, potentially reflecting a discount of up to 4.97% of its current market valuation.
Netweb Technologies Ltd, a manufacturer of high-performance computing servers, has also announced a QIP to gather up to ₹1,200 crore. The indicative price range for this latest offering is set between ₹4,710 and ₹4,790 per share.
Meanwhile, NELCO Ltd, a Tata Group satellite services firm, has secured a $20 million investment from Lunar Holdco, Inc., through the issuance of Compulsorily Convertible Debentures (CCDs).
DCX Systems Ltd reported an uptick in business activity, having received purchase orders worth approximately ₹15.19 crore for the manufacturing and supply of cable and wire harness assemblies, with agreements covering both domestic and international markets.
In infrastructure news, Ceigall India Ltd faced setbacks as the Public Works Department of the Delhi government cancelled a ₹330.84 crore tender for various road strengthening projects scheduled for 2026-27.
Wipro, along with other companies like PCBL Chemicals and Syrma SGS, is in the spotlight as the Indian government recently sanctioned 31 investment proposals valued at ₹7,877 crore under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). Notably, Wipro Global Engineering has been approved for an investment amounting to ₹1,401 crore, while Micromax Precision Moulding has received approval for ₹565 crore.
Samvardhana Motherson International announced its intention to acquire a controlling stake in Shenzhen Autocruis Technology Co. Ltd via its wholly owned subsidiary, SMR Automotive (Langfang) Co. Ltd.
