JBL Introduces High-Powered PartyBox Ultimate 2 with AI Features
JBL has unveiled its latest addition to the party speaker range, the PartyBox Ultimate 2, designed to offer a high-quality sound experience for gatherings. Priced at $1,800, the speaker delivers an impressive 1,500 watts of sound output through six dedicated drivers—two woofers, two midrange drivers, and two tweeters.
The PartyBox Ultimate 2 weighs 120 pounds, making it one of the more substantial options in the party speaker segment. Despite its hefty design, similar to Sony's ULT Tower Max which weighs 124 pounds, it lacks a battery and therefore requires a power source to function.
This newest model includes advanced artificial intelligence features aimed at enhancing the listening experience. One notable capability is the AI vocal isolation feature that allows users to remove vocals from any track at the touch of a button. While this function is yet to be tested with the PartyBox Ultimate 2, it has been praised in JBL's previous offerings, such as the Bandbox Solo.
In addition to vocal isolation, the speaker features AI Sound Boost, optimising volume levels without introducing distortion, along with a Smart Equalisation Mode that automatically adjusts audio settings based on the content being played.
For connectivity, the PartyBox Ultimate 2 accommodates various platforms including AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Chromecast, making it versatile for modern music streaming. Users can also connect through USB-C for lossless audio playback, or via optical and XLR cables for traditional wired experiences.
Currently, the PartyBox Ultimate 2 is available for preorder, with shipping set to begin on October 25. As JBL continues to innovate within the party speaker market, the launch of this model aims to cater to both casual listeners and dedicated karaoke enthusiasts alike.
