India Condemns OIC's Allegations, Highlights Pakistan's Role
India criticises the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's remarks on Jammu and Kashmir, alleging manipulation by Pakistan.

India has officially rejected statements made by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) regarding Jammu and Kashmir, labelling them as unfounded and manipulative. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed concerns that Pakistan is using the OIC platform to propagate its agenda against India. The OIC's previous assertions about the human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir have been challenged by Indian officials who argue that these claims lack credibility.

The Indian government has reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of its territory. In light of the OIC's recent remarks, the MEA stated that Pakistan is misusing the international forum to further its own self-serving narratives.

An MEA statement highlighted that the OIC was being employed inaccurately to target India, turning the organisation's mandate away from its intended purpose.

India's diplomatic efforts aim to counter what it sees as misinformation perpetuated by Pakistan. Officials have articulated that the claims made by the OIC represent a clear misrepresentation of facts surrounding Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry stressed that such statements only undermine the organisation's credibility.

This assertion from the MEA comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, with India maintaining strict control over narratives surrounding its governance in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian government continues to push back against international scrutiny and appeals related to the area, emphasising that these discussions should focus on peace and cooperation rather than unfounded accusations.

The backdrop of this diplomatic exchange illustrates the complexities of regional politics in South Asia, where historical grievances and territorial disputes continue to shape relations between India and Pakistan. As the OIC and other bodies issue statements, India remains vigilant and proactive in defending its national interests and territorial integrity.
