Google Introduces AI Plus Subscription in India at Rs 199/month
Google launches AI Plus subscription in India, offering enhanced AI features at an introductory price of Rs 199 per month for new users.

Google has launched its AI Plus subscription service in India, providing users with enhanced access to advanced artificial intelligence features. The subscription is priced at Rs 399 per month, but new customers can take advantage of a promotional rate of Rs 199 for the first six months. This strategic pricing comes as India has become one of the most engaged markets for Google's AI applications, particularly with the Gemini app and the NotebookLM research assistant gaining significant traction among users.

Features of AI Plus Subscription

The AI Plus subscription offers considerably more capabilities compared to the free tier. Subscribers will gain access to Gemini 3 Pro, Google's latest and most sophisticated AI model, along with Nano Banana Pro for advanced image creation and editing tasks. The package also includes video generation capabilities through Veo 3.1, creative filmmaking tools via Flow, and seamless integration of Gemini within popular applications like Gmail and Google Docs.

In addition to advanced AI functionalities, the AI Plus plan provides users with 200 gigabytes of cloud storage, which is over 13 times the amount offered in the free plan. There is also enhanced access to NotebookLM for research tasks, making it a valuable resource for users engaged in academic and professional projects. Furthermore, the subscription supports family sharing for up to five members, adding extra value for households.

Comparison of Google AI Subscription Tiers

The newly introduced AI Plus tier is positioned between Google's free tier and its premium AI Pro plan. The free plan offers basic AI assistance, limited to 100 monthly credits and 15 gigabytes of storage. In contrast, the AI Plus subscription provides 200 monthly credits and significantly increased storage. The top-tier AI Pro plan is priced at Rs 1,950 per month, but new users can trial it for just Rs 10 in the first month, receiving 1,000 monthly credits and 2 terabytes of storage.

The company’s efforts reflect a broader trend of increasing accessibility to AI tools, allowing users to enhance their productivity and creativity without a significant financial burden. As Google continues to innovate in the AI space, the introduction of the AI Plus subscription is expected to attract a large number of subscribers eager to explore its capabilities.
