Gold Prices Fall ₹600 After Four-Day Increase Amid Profit Booking
Gold prices in New Delhi experienced a decline of ₹600, bringing the price to ₹1,66,500 per 10 grams, after a four-day uptrend. This decrease is attributed to profit booking by traders and weak trends in international markets. The previous closing price for gold had been ₹1,67,100 per 10 grams.
In contrast, silver prices saw a slight increase, rising by ₹500 to reach ₹2,50,500 per kilogram, as reported by the All India Sarafa Association. This uptick in silver follows a closing price of ₹2.5 lakh per kilogram on Tuesday.
Analysts suggest that the reduction in gold prices can be linked to traders capitalising on recent gains after a sustained period of increases. "Gold has eased in the domestic markets as traders booked profits after a strong multi-week rally," stated Akshat Siddhant, a Lead Quant Analyst at the investment platform Mudrex.
The adjustments in gold and silver prices highlight the volatile nature of precious metals, influenced by both domestic and international market conditions. As the market continues to fluctuate, it remains crucial for investors to stay informed about trends that could affect their investment strategies.
In international markets, gold futures fell by 0.30% to $4,643.42 per ounce. This drop can further influence domestic pricing in the forthcoming trading sessions. Investors and analysts will be closely monitoring these developments to gauge future trends in the gold and silver markets.
