Folarin Balogun, an American footballer, has expressed awareness of the controversy stemming from FIFA’s decision to suspend his one-game ban during the World Cup. The 25-year-old forward received a red card for serious foul play while playing against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last 32, which should have led to an automatic suspension for the ensuing match. However, FIFA’s disciplinary committee postponed his ban for one year, a move that sparked significant backlash. I could almost see within my team-mates a bit of nerves because it is something that is so unique.'
