First Look: Arjun Rampal and Vishal Jethwa in '3 Monkeys'
The first poster for the thriller '3 Monkeys', featuring Arjun Rampal, Vishal Jethwa, and directed by Abbas-Mustan, has been unveiled.

Arjun Rampal, Vishal Jethwa, Mustafa Burmawala, and Tenzin Dalha are set to star in the upcoming thriller '3 Monkeys', directed by renowned filmmakers Abbas–Mustan. The film was officially announced on Gandhi Jayanti with the release of its first motion poster, which reinterprets the classic Three Wise Monkeys concept in a contemporary context. While introducing its central characters, the plot details remain largely undisclosed.

The film’s tagline replaces the traditional saying 'Bura Mat Dekho, Bura Mat Suno, Bura Mat Bolo'—often translated as 'See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil'—with a modern twist: 'Sab Dekho. Apni Suno. Bekhauf Bolo', meaning 'Observe everything. Listen. Speak fearlessly'. The lead roles of masked characters Amar, Akbar, and Anthony are played by Vishal Jethwa, Mustafa Burmawala, and Tenzin Dalha respectively. Arjun Rampal portrays a character named Sanjay, who is also seen in the promotional material but whose connection to the trio is not explained.

The opening of the motion poster features the traditional Three Wise Monkeys, transitioning to focus on the film's protagonists, who are depicted as masked and armed. Rumours about the characters being involved in a robbery or heist remain unconfirmed, as the campaign intentionally keeps viewers in suspense about their motivations.

Mustafa Burmawala commented on his involvement, noting, 'I am really excited to be a part of 3 Monkeys, especially because it is an Abbas-Mustan film. They have created some of the most memorable thrillers, so getting an opportunity to work with them is very special for me.'

With a teaser showcasing both tension and a playful side to the characters, the filmmakers have promised that 'there is much more happening behind those masks, and that is the mystery we want audiences to discover in cinemas.'

The film, produced by Allarakha Vohra, Faruk Vohra, and Sayeed Vohra under the banner of AJ Film Entertainment World, is slated for a worldwide release on December 4, 2026. It is expected to compete at the box office with Shraddha Kapoor's 'Eetha' and an untitled comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Following his recent appearance in 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', Arjun Rampal's role in '3 Monkeys' adds to his upcoming projects, which also include collaborations with filmmaker Aditya Dhar as well as a sequel to the series 'Rana Naidu'. Vishal Jethwa, who appeared in 'Homebound', returns to the big screen with this film, while Mustafa and Tenzin Dalha are also making noteworthy appearances. The anticipation around '3 Monkeys' grows with each release of promotional material as audiences eagerly await more details about its plot and characters.
