Eid Milad-un-Nabi, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad, is being celebrated with significant enthusiasm across various regions of India. The festival, observed prominently today, includes numerous events such as 'Milaad Mehfils' and 'Seerat Conferences' that focus on the life and teachings of the Prophet.

In light of the occasion, comprehensive security measures have been implemented to ensure public safety during the celebrations. President Droupadi Murmu extended her best wishes to citizens, particularly addressing the Muslim community, in a social media post. She highlighted that Eid Milad-un-Nabi serves as an opportunity to reflect on the teachings of the Prophet, which inspire individuals across the nation to embrace values of righteousness and duty.

The President urged everyone to draw upon the significant ideals of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to contribute actively towards building a more inclusive and developed society. Likewise, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar extended his congratulations, expressing a desire that the sacred occasion promotes values such as compassion, harmony, and mutual respect, thereby reinforcing communal bonds.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared greetings with the public on this occasion. In a social media message, he expressed hope that the festivities foster unity and joy globally. He conveyed that the spirit of kindness and the tradition of giving back to society should always steer the actions of the nation's people.

In Tripura, the local Gausia Samiti held a major religious procession known as Jashne Julus to commemorate the festival. The event commenced from the Gausia Samiti premises in Indranagar and proceeded through various sections of the city, attracting participants from diverse communities. Nazrul Islam, a spokesperson for the Gausia Samiti, reflected on the essence of the day, noting that Prophet Muhammad spread a global message of peace. He encouraged individuals from all backgrounds to partake in the procession to promote unity and harmony.
