Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Celebrate Marriage in London Ceremony
Pop singer Dua Lipa has officially married actor Callum Turner in a modest ceremony held at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. The wedding took place on Sunday, marking the couple's union after over two years of relationship.
Images from the event show Dua Lipa dressed in an elegant white skirt suit, complemented by a wide-brimmed hat, matching white gloves, and high heels. Callum Turner, 36, wore a dark blue suit, aligning with the intimate atmosphere of the celebration. A small gathering of family and friends witnessed the couple's exit, showering them with confetti as they descended the stairs of the venue while holding hands.
Dua Lipa carried a petite bouquet of pastel-coloured flowers as she departed with her husband. The couple’s engagement was made public last year, during which Lipa shared her excitement with British Vogue. She expressed the joy she felt about their decision to commit to a lifelong partnership, stating, "It's a really special feeling."
The engagement ring was designed by Turner, who sought advice from Lipa's best friends and sister before its creation. Looking ahead, the couple is reportedly planning a celebratory three-day event in Sicily scheduled for next week.
Dua Lipa, 30, is renowned as one of the most significant pop stars globally and is set to headline the Glastonbury festival in 2024. Callum Turner has gained international recognition through his roles in the Fantastic Beasts film series and is rumoured to be a frontrunner for the iconic role of James Bond.
Old Marylebone Town Hall has a rich history of hosting celebrity weddings. Notably, it was the venue for Sir Paul McCartney's marriage to Linda Eastman in 1969, followed by his wedding to Nancy Shevell in 2011. Other notable couples, such as Ringo Starr and Melanie Griffith with Antonio Banderas, have also chosen this historic location for their nuptials, making it a cherished spot for celebratory unions.
