Donald Trump Jr. Visits Taj Mahal Before Attending Udaipur Wedding
Donald Trump Jr., the son of former United States President Donald Trump, visited the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra on Thursday, accompanied by a group of 126 guests hailing from nearly 40 different countries. This visit, which comes amid heightened security measures, marks Trump Jr.'s first time at the UNESCO World Heritage site.
The visit saw extensive preparations by local authorities, who deployed approximately 200 police personnel to key locations throughout Agra. Officers of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) rank were part of the security detail, ensuring a safe experience for the high-profile guests.
During the tour, Trump Jr. engaged with the monument's historical significance, expressing interest in its architectural details and the stories surrounding its construction. Nitin, a local guide, noted that Trump Jr. asked numerous questions about the artisans involved in its creation and the operation of its famous fountains. The guide remarked, "He had limited time, but he showed keen interest in everything he saw."
Trump Jr. also took a moment to recall his father's visit to the Taj Mahal in 2020, choosing to be photographed at the same fountain where Donald Trump Sr. posed. He expressed a desire to return to the Taj Mahal with his children so they could experience its beauty.
Following his visit to Agra, Trump Jr. is set to travel to Udaipur in Rajasthan to attend a lavish wedding celebration. Sources indicate that he will arrive in Udaipur on Friday evening and will remain there until Monday. He is expected to stay at The Leela Palace, a luxury hotel known for its opulence.
The wedding, scheduled from November 21 to 24, is for Netra Mantena, the daughter of American billionaire Rama Raju Mantena, and Vamsi Gadiraju. The main ceremony will take place at the renowned Jag Mandir Palace, situated on an island in Lake Pichola, on November 23.
The guest list for this grand affair includes international celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Justin Bieber, both of whom are anticipated to perform at the event. Additionally, South African DJ Black Coffee is expected to provide entertainment for the attendees.
From Bollywood, several prominent figures are expected to attend, including Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Karan Johar. The wedding arrangements are being coordinated by Wizcraft, a well-known event management firm that has previously organised major events like the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Jaipur earlier this year.
As preparations continue for the star-studded wedding, the anticipation surrounding the event highlights the intersection of culture, celebrity, and luxury tourism in India.
