Dhurandhar Franchise Achieves ₹3,000 Crore Milestone in Global Box Office
The Dhurandhar film series has made history as the largest Indian cinematic franchise globally, amassing a staggering ₹3,019.35 crore in worldwide earnings. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action-packed spy-thriller has garnered widespread acclaim and box office success since its release.
Dhurandhar, which debuted in 2025, is now entering its fourth week in cinemas and continues to attract audiences, outperforming iconic film series including Baahubali and Pushpa. Trade website Sacnilk reports that the franchise’s remarkable earnings have made it the first Indian series to surpass the ₹3,000 crore benchmark within just 26 days.
This achievement elevates the Dhurandhar franchise to an unparalleled level, as it is now the first Indian cinematic series to have both of its films — Dhurandhar and its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, slated for release in 2026 — cross the ₹1,000 crore threshold. The first film alone has collected approximately ₹1,307.35 crore globally.
The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has also exhibited impressive box office performance, grossing around ₹1,297.50 crore in India, alongside an overseas collection of ₹414.50 crore after 26 days of release. It is noteworthy that these figures have been achieved without screenings in major markets like China and the Gulf region.
Despite a slight decrease in earnings during its fourth week, where it garnered ₹0.75 crore overseas and ₹5.20 crore nett in India on the Monday of its fourth week, the franchise's overall success remains commendable.
Beyond the financial milestones, the significant impact of the Dhurandhar franchise lies in its potential to set new standards within Indian cinema, particularly within the Bollywood sector. The film's unprecedented achievements have made it a subject of admiration among filmmakers and audiences alike, demonstrating the potential of Indian storytelling in the global arena.
