Bollywood Actor Govinda Reveals Details of Alleged Home Attack
Govinda shares disturbing details of an alleged attack at his home involving 22 men, claiming Mumbai police failed to respond promptly.

Bollywood actor Govinda has spoken out about an alleged attack on his home that took place in the early hours of the morning. According to his manager, Shashi Sinha, the incident occurred at approximately 3 AM, although the exact date was not disclosed. It has been reported that a First Information Report (FIR) was filed regarding the incident, and Govinda expressed gratitude that he was armed during the ordeal.

In an interview with the news agency ANI, Govinda stated he spotted between 22 to 23 men outside his house on the night of the alleged attack. He remarked on their unusual presence, saying, "I wondered who they were because I couldn’t hear any noise coming from a party either. They did not seem like party-goers, so I began filming them."

Govinda claimed that when he attempted to contact the Mumbai police, he faced difficulties as they did not answer his calls. In a bid for assistance, he stated, "I called top police officers in another country. I asked them to stay on the line so I wouldn’t be blamed later."

As he observed the group, he noted that some individuals had moved towards his terrace while others positioned themselves in odd formations. He took initiative by arming himself with his licensed firearm and confronted the men, demanding to know their purpose. The actor recounted how they claimed they were there to fix the power system, a justification he met with suspicion. "I asked them to fix it and leave, pointing my gun at them. They did not expect it because I am only nice till it threatens my life," he stated.

In light of these events, Govinda clarified that he prefers not to dwell on any potential motives behind the alleged attack. He expressed a desire to concentrate on his acting career rather than reacting to unsettling situations. His manager previously highlighted the absence of security personnel at the actor’s residence during the attack, underscoring the potential dangers that could have arisen had Govinda not been prepared.

Sinha remarked on the timing of the incident, indicating that the scene could have escalated severely had there been fewer precautions. He added that he possesses a video of the confrontation and has taken steps to officially document the occurrence through law enforcement. The incident has raised concerns regarding the safety of high-profile individuals in Mumbai, further attracting public interest in the competence of local security measures.
