A 25-year-old gym trainer was killed after a fight at a Bengaluru anniversary party. Four suspects are in police custody as investigations continue.

Bengaluru police are investigating the death of a 25-year-old gym trainer, Nandan, who was fatally injured during an anniversary celebration at an apartment in the Sahakar Nagar area. The incident occurred late on Saturday night when a minor dispute escalated into a violent altercation.

The police report indicates that Nandan and four of his friends gathered to commemorate the anniversary of a local gym at a flat located on the 16th floor. During the festivities, a disagreement arose between Nandan and a friend named Vishwanath. The quarrel stemmed from a comment made by Vishwanath, whom Nandan had objected to referring to him as a disciple.

According to authorities, the confrontation turned physical in the flat's bathroom. Nandan allegedly sustained a severe head injury from a sharp object, presumably glass, which led to extensive bleeding. Tragically, the individuals present did not seek immediate medical assistance for Nandan, and he reportedly continued to bleed for hours. Eventually, he was taken to a private hospital where medical staff pronounced him dead upon arrival.

A senior officer from the Amruthahalli police station indicated that initial investigations suggested that prompt medical treatment following the injury could have saved Nandan's life. The family was informed of the incident by the police, who requested their presence at the hospital. Family members expressed their shock, stating they were completely unaware of the gravity of Nandan's injuries prior to the police notification.

Nandan's relative, Prasanna, described him as a responsible individual who maintained regular communication with his family about his activities. His untimely death has left his family and community in deep mourning.

In response to the incident, police have registered a murder case based on a complaint from Nandan's mother. Four suspects, including Vishwanath and three others identified as Sharath, Nishanth, and Anush, have been detained for questioning.

The police are actively reviewing CCTV footage and gathering testimonies from attendees to uncover the precise circumstances surrounding the altercation and to identify all individuals involved in the incident. Investigators believe that personal conflicts may have motivated the attack, and they are working to clarify the sequence of events leading to Nandan's tragic death.
