Megan Schutt opened the bowling for Australia, making a significant impact by taking two wickets within her first nine deliveries. She achieved her 150th ODI wicket during the match, becoming just the third Australian woman to reach this milestone. Schutt’s first delivery resulted in the wicket of Fargana Hoque Pinky, creating immediate momentum for the Australian side. Schutt concluded her ten overs with an impressive figure of 2 for 19.
Annabel Sutherland also played a key role in Australia’s bowling attack, finishing with figures of 4 for 30 in 9.4 overs. Her solid partnership with Ellyse Perry, who supported with a more measured innings, ensured Australia had a comfortable path to victory.
While Litchfield was dismissed for 77, Australia's commanding position meant they needed only 48 runs at that stage to secure the win. They ultimately achieved their target with 24.2 overs remaining, illustrating their dominance throughout the match.
