Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli Spotted Strolling in London
Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli were seen together during a rare public outing in London on Tuesday morning. The couple enjoyed a leisurely stroll, and images capturing the moment rapidly circulated on social media, garnering significant attention from fans.
Virat Kohli was dressed in a casual green sweatshirt paired with jeans, while Anushka opted for comfortable leggings, a T-shirt, a jacket, and a cap. Photos showed Kohli engaged in conversation with a woman while holding onto a pram, which is believed to belong to their youngest child, Akaay. Notably, the toddler was not visible in the images.
According to shared posts from fan pages, the couple was spotted outside Akaay's day nursery in the London area, appearing to wait for him to return. Anushka seemed visibly uncomfortable with the attention, with expressions indicating distress as the family was photographed.
The couple has consistently shielded their children, Vamika and Akaay, from public exposure and have sought privacy regarding their family life. Reports suggest that Anushka and Virat relocated to London in pursuit of a quieter upbringing for their children, away from the intense public interest prevalent in India.
Their recent appearance follows another public outing in Delhi last month, reinforcing the rarity of their public appearances together. Anushka and Virat have also been known to visit spiritual sites, such as Neem Karoli Baba’s ashram in Kainchi Dham, seeking spiritual guidance amidst their demanding careers.
The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy in December 2017, welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in 2021, followed by the birth of their son, Akaay, in 2024. Their life choices have been discussed publicly, with Dr Sriram Nene mentioning that both Anushka and Virat had shared their concerns about the scrutiny they face in India.
Dr Nene described Kohli as “just a decent human being” during a chat about the couple's aspirations for a relaxed family life. Anushka has largely stepped back from acting since her role in the film 'Zero', which was released in 2018. She has since completed filming for 'Chakda Xpress', where she plays former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami, although the film's release date remains unconfirmed.
