Air India Flight Diverted to Ahmedabad After Bomb Threat
An Air India flight made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad following the discovery of a bomb threat note in a lavatory.

An Air India flight was diverted to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad after a bomb threat was discovered. The incident occurred on 24th January when a note, indicating the presence of a bomb, was found in an aircraft lavatory during the flight from Dubai to Kochi.

Following the discovery, the crew immediately informed air traffic control, prompting an emergency landing. Authorities responded by deploying security personnel and conducting thorough checks of the aircraft upon its arrival. All passengers and crew were reported safe, and no explosive devices were found during the examination.

Officials have stated that an investigation is underway to identify the person responsible for the note. Passengers expressed their relief after the event was resolved without incident. In recent months, similar cases have raised concerns about aviation security, leading airlines and airports to enhance their safety protocols.

Air India officials have confirmed their cooperation with authorities to ensure a prompt resolution to the investigation. As a result of the incident, flight operations were temporarily affected, causing delays for other flights at Ahmedabad.

This event highlights the ongoing challenges airlines face regarding security threats, emphasising the need for vigilance in maintaining passenger safety.
