Actor Orry Accuses Akanksha Chamola of Damaging Gaurav Khanna's Reputation
Orry Khatron Ke Khiladi, a participant on the Indian reality show, has publicly defended fellow contestant Gaurav Khanna against claims made by his estranged wife, Akanksha Chamola. Chamola recently revealed during the premiere of season two of Lock Upp that she and Khanna are in the process of getting a divorce. This announcement has generated significant media interest, especially as Khanna is currently competing in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.
In response to the situation, Orry expressed his disapproval of what he described as Chamola's opportunistic behaviour. He stated, “She is just blackening his good name and milking his fame for her own views. No one knows who she is.” Orry further highlighted that he was unaware of Khanna's marital status during their month of filming together in Cape Town. His comments reflect a wider sentiment among fans who are concerned about the impact such allegations could have on Khanna's reputation.
Social media activity surrounding this incident has also intensified, with both Chamola and another contestant, Shagun Sharma, facing scrutiny for their remarks about Khanna. Chamola has previously mentioned that she would prefer to see her pet dog over Khanna during their time on the show. Meanwhile, Sharma accused Khanna of bullying her during their time on Khatron Ke Khiladi, stating that he often picked on her when others did not succeed in challenges.
Orry dismissed Sharma’s claims, suggesting that their interactions were playful rather than malicious. “I am pretty sure I bullied her more during KKK, and we are still good friends,” he remarked. The context of these interactions raises questions about the competitive environment of reality television and how it can sometimes blur the lines of personal relationships.
Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola were married in 2016, after reportedly meeting during auditions for a project. Their wedding took place on 24 November of that year in a three-day ceremony in Kanpur, Khanna's hometown. Despite the current revelations, Khanna had previously stated that they are still legally married and have not yet filed for divorce.
As the public continues to monitor this situation, it highlights the complexities of personal relationships intertwined with public personas in the entertainment industry.
