Aamir Khan Provides Health Update on Salim Khan in ICU
Aamir Khan has offered a hopeful health update regarding his father-in-law, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, who is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The 90-year-old Salim Khan was admitted on February 17 due to a minor brain haemorrhage.
At a recent media event, Aamir Khan discussed his visit to the hospital, where he was unable to see Salim Khan directly due to his ICU status. However, he was able to meet with family members, who reassured him that Salim is showing signs of improvement.
"I went to meet Salim Sahab, and we are all praying that he recovers soon. I could not meet him personally since he was in the ICU. I sat with the family," Aamir Khan stated. He further shared insights from Alvira Khan, Salim's daughter-in-law, who informed him that Salim's health is improving daily.
Dr. Jalil Parkar, overseeing Salim Khan's care, confirmed that he is stable and described the brain haemorrhage as minimal, indicating that no surgical intervention was necessary. "There was no surgery performed. It was a procedure we usually do. Yes, he had a brain haemorrhage, which was very minimal, and did not require any surgical intervention," Dr. Parkar explained.
The news of Salim Khan's hospitalisation has sparked concern and support from fans and the film industry alike. Numerous notable figures, including fellow screenwriter Javed Akhtar and actors Shah Rukh Khan and Anjali Tendulkar, have visited him to offer their support during this challenging time.
As the community continues to rally around Salim Khan and his family, the hope for a swift recovery remains strong, with many praying for his timely return home.
