Aamir Khan to Marry Gauri Spratt in Private Ceremony on July 5
Aamir Khan, the renowned Indian actor, is preparing to marry his partner, Gauri Spratt, in a private ceremony scheduled for July 5. The 61-year-old Khan and 47-year-old Spratt have chosen to formalise their relationship through a registered marriage, with plans for a modest gathering at Khan's home.
Sources close to the couple informed India Today that they had recently decided to take this step in their relationship. A source stated, “They are both in a secure place and only wanted to celebrate their bond.” Preparations for the intimate event are reportedly underway, and it will include only family members and a few close friends.
While the guest list remains unofficial, there are indications that notable figures from the film industry, including actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, may attend, depending on their schedules.
Gauri Spratt, who has previously worked with Aamir Khan Productions, has a seven-year-old son named Quinn from her previous marriage. She is also the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, a British-born Communist who relocated to India in the 1920s and became involved in the country's independence movement.
Both families are said to support the couple as they start this new chapter together. Aamir Khan has two children, Junaid and Ira, from his first marriage to Reena Dutta, and he shares a son named Azad with his second wife, filmmaker Kiran Rao. Khan and Rao announced their separation in 2021.
The actor first introduced Gauri to the media at a pre-birthday event in Mumbai last year. During that occasion, he confirmed their relationship, noting they had been together for over a year. When asked about the possibility of marriage, he remarked, “We are fully committed. However, at 60, marriage might not suit me, but let’s see.”
On the professional front, Aamir Khan was last seen in the film 'Sitaare Zameen Par.' He has future projects lined up, including a biopic on Lala Amarnath and an untitled film directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
