Jr NTR Warns Disruptive Fan at War 2 Event in Hyderabad
Actor Jr NTR paused his speech at the War 2 pre-release event to warn a disruptive fan, as excitement builds for his Bollywood debut with Hrithik Roshan.
Actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr, known as Jr NTR, briefly halted his address during a promotional event for the upcoming action thriller War 2 in Hyderabad to call out a fan who interrupted him. The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, showed the RRR star firmly asking the fan to remain silent or risk his leaving the stage.

The moment unfolded before thousands of supporters gathered to celebrate the highly anticipated film, which marks Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut. The actor, visibly intent on maintaining order, warned: “Brother, should I leave? What did I tell you? Stay quiet when I speak. It won’t take me a second to put down the mic and leave the stage.”

Tribute to co-star Hrithik Roshan
During the event, Jr NTR expressed gratitude to Yash Raj Films for offering him the role and responded to comparisons with his co-star Hrithik Roshan following the release of the dance track Janaab-e-Aali. He dismissed any notion of rivalry, calling Hrithik “one of the greatest dancers in the country” and describing their collaboration as complementary rather than competitive.

The 39-year-old actor recounted spending 75 days on set with Hrithik, praising his energy and professionalism. He said Hrithik’s warm welcome helped ease his own concerns about acceptance in the Hindi film industry, a sentiment reinforced by director S.S. Rajamouli’s efforts to bridge regional divides in Indian cinema.

Hrithik Roshan, in turn, lauded Jr NTR’s dedication, calling him a “one-take, final-take star” and likening their bond to that of real-life brothers. He urged audiences to extend the same admiration to Jr NTR that they give him.

About War 2
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is the latest instalment in Yash Raj Films’ expanding Spy Universe. Hrithik reprises his role as Kabir, with Jr NTR joining in a major action role alongside Kiara Advani. Known for its high-octane stunts, elaborate choreography, and pan-India appeal, the film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil during India’s Independence Day weekend in 2025.

War 2 will face strong competition at the box office from Rajinikanth’s Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, setting up a major cinematic clash. Promotional material highlights both action sequences and dance numbers, including Janaab-e-Aali, which has already sparked conversation among fans.

Context:
Jr NTR’s career has been largely based in the Telugu film industry, where he is one of its highest-grossing stars. His entry into Bollywood is viewed as part of a broader trend of increased collaboration between Hindi and South Indian cinema. The incident in Hyderabad underscores the intensity of fan culture in India, where large public events can be as emotionally charged as the films themselves. Despite the disruption, the actor maintained his composure, ensuring the focus returned to the upcoming release.
