India is poised to cement its position as a global leader in the energy sector, with the upcoming India Energy Week (IEW) 2025 set to become the world’s second-largest energy event. Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, announced this milestone during a press conference in Mumbai on January 24, 2025. With its massive scale and unprecedented participation, IEW 2025 is expected to redefine energy dialogue globally.

Scheduled to take place from February 11-14, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, the event spans over 100,000 square meters, showcasing cutting-edge technologies, global collaborations, and innovative solutions. With over 70,000 delegates, 105 conference sessions, and more than 500 speakers, IEW 2025 promises to set new benchmarks in the global energy industry.

A Global Gathering of Leaders and Innovators
IEW 2025, organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) and dmg events, will convene energy leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the globe. Puri highlighted the scale of participation, with representatives from more than 20 foreign energy ministries, 90 Fortune 500 energy CEOs, and delegates from leading nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands.

The event’s exhibition space will grow by 65%, expanding to 28,000 square meters, and will feature 10 country pavilions and eight thematic zones focusing on pivotal areas, including hydrogen, renewables, biofuels, and petrochemicals. Over 700 exhibitors, including 26 national and international oil companies (NOCs and IOCs), will showcase their innovations, making IEW 2025 a premier platform for business networking and knowledge exchange.

Clean Cooking Ministerial: A Spotlight on Sustainability
One of the key highlights of IEW 2025 is the Clean Cooking Ministerial, a landmark initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of clean cooking solutions worldwide. India’s flagship Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will take center stage at this event, offering valuable insights into addressing energy access challenges. Puri emphasized that PMUY’s success story would serve as a global template.
