इस संदर्भ में निर्णय इंडोनेशिया के राष्ट्रपति की चल रही यात्रा के दौरान लिया गया था।
शनिवार को भारत और इंडोनेशिया ने सुरक्षा, रक्षा निर्माण, व्यापार, फिनटेक और AI जैसे क्षेत्रों में अपने संबंधों को गहराया। दोनों देशों ने खाद्य सुरक्षा, ऊर्जा, और आपदा प्रबंधन जैसे क्षेत्रों में सामरिक रूप से काम करने पर भी सहमति व्यक्त की।

यह विकास प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और दौरा कर रहे इंडोनेशियाई राष्ट्रपति प्रबोवो सुबियांटो के बीच नई दिल्ली में हुई बैठक के बाद हुआ।

23 जनवरी को भारत आए इंडोनेशियाई राष्ट्रपति सुबियांटो 76वें गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि रहेंगे।

मीडिया बयान में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि दोनों देशों ने रक्षा क्षेत्र में अपनी सहयोगिता को मजबूत करने का निर्णय लिया और रक्षा निर्माण और आपूर्ति श्रृंखला के क्षेत्र में साथ काम करने के लिए सहमत हुए।

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि भारत और इंडोनेशिया ने समुद्री सुरक्षा, साइबर सुरक्षा, आतंकवाद के खिलाफ संघर्ष और डी-रेडिकलाइजेशन में सहयोग का जोर दिया।

“आज जो समझौता समुद्री सुरक्षा और सुरक्षा पर हस्ताक्षर किया गया है, वह अपराध निवारण, खोज और बचाव, और क्षमता निर्माण के क्षेत्रों में हमारी सहयोगिता को मजबूत करेगा। पिछले कुछ वर्षों में, हमारा द्विपक्षीय व्यापार तेजी से बढ़ा है, और पिछले वर्ष, इसने 30 अरब डॉलर से अधिक हो गया,” पीएम मोदी ने कहा।

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि “भारत और इंडोनेशिया विभिन्न बहुपक्षीय प्लेटफॉर्मों में भी सामरिक संपर्क में हैं। इंडोनेशिया हमारी ईस्ट ईस्ट पॉलिसी का केंद्रीय तत्व है और हम इंडोनेशिया की BRICS सदस्यता का स्वागत करते हैं।

“In our Act Easy Policy, emphasis has been given to ASEAN unity and centrality. We continue to work together on platforms like G-20, ASEAN, and Indian Ocean Rim Association," PM Modi said.
"Now we are also welcoming the membership of Indonesia in BRICS. At all these forums, we will work in coordination and cooperation for the interests and priorities of the nations in the Global South,” the Prime Minister added.

In his remark, the Prime Minister also said the two leaders also held discussions on diversifying market access and the trade basket.

 “We welcome the CEO Forum meeting held today and the agreements finalised in the private sector. We have also decided to further strengthen cooperation in areas like FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Digital Public Infrastructure,” PM Modi said.   

The two countries also decided to work together in sectors of Energy, Critical Minerals, Science & Technology, Space and STEM Education. It was also agreed that the Disaster Management Authorities of both countries will come together to perform Joint Exercises.

In the sectors of Health and Food Security, India is sharing its learnings and experience from the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and the Public Distribution System with Indonesia, Prime Minister Modi said.

Underlining that the relationship between India and Indonesia dates back thousands of years, PM Modi maintained that “tales inspired from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, and the ‘Bali Jatra’ are living testaments of the age-old cultural and historical ties between our two great nations.”

He also expressed his happiness that after the Buddhist Borobudur Temple, “India will now also contribute towards the conservation efforts of the Prambanan Hindu Temple.” The year 2025 will be celebrated as the Indo-ASEAN Year of Tourism.

The two countries also signed five MoUs in the areas such as health, maritime security, digital development, culture and traditional medicine.
