Lenovo India Reports 23% Revenue Growth, Boosts Global Sales
New Delhi: Lenovo India has reported a significant year-on-year revenue increase of 23 per cent, reaching $1.2 billion for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025/26. This robust performance has been a crucial factor in the Lenovo Group achieving record global revenue of $20.5 billion, a 15 per cent increase from the previous year.
The growth in Lenovo India's revenue has been attributed to a surge in demand across all business categories, driven by a combination of digital transformation trends, an increase in premium product offerings, and improved consumer confidence. Shailendra Katyal, Vice President and Managing Director of Lenovo India, stated, "Lenovo India recorded a strong quarter across all business groups. We have seen a good demand view in India for all our categories with higher digitisation trends, premiumisation, and improved consumer sentiment. Our robust performance was driven by the strong adoption of our end-to-end AI-powered technology solutions among both retail, MSME, and enterprise customers."
Katyal highlighted that Lenovo is well-positioned to leverage India's evolving technology landscape. He noted, "As India’s role expands as a global hub for digital capability centres and enterprise transformation, we are riding the AI democratization trend. We are committed to expanding our leadership in Personal AI and delivering our value proposition in Enterprise AI."
The successful results in India reflect the broader achievements of the Lenovo Group. The global revenue increase was complemented by a 25 per cent year-on-year rise in adjusted net income, which reached $512 million, while the adjusted net income margin rose to 2.5 per cent. This growth was supported by strong performance across all major business segments and geographical areas.
The company's revenue from AI-related products grew significantly, accounting for 30 per cent of total revenue for the quarter, up 13 percentage points from the previous year. The rapid expansion in the AI market has been particularly evident in sales of AI servers, which experienced high-double-digit growth, and AI PCs, AI smartphones, and AI services, which saw triple-digit growth.
Lenovo holds a commanding 25.6 per cent share of the global PC market, with its AI PCs gaining traction in India as consumers seek hyper-personalised technology. The company’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) also posted a 24 per cent revenue increase, reflecting enterprises' investment in AI servers and advanced digital capabilities.
Moreover, the Solutions and Services Group (SSG) grew by 18 per cent, bolstered by the provision of managed services and AI solutions tailored to specific industries.
Overall, Lenovo’s performance in the second quarter of FY25/26 showcases its successful adaptation to market demands and commitment to innovation in the rapidly evolving landscape of technology. As digitisation continues to accelerate globally, Lenovo India is poised to play a pivotal role in its growth trajectory, aligning with the company's strategic focus on AI and enterprise solutions.
